Linwood Ruel Johnson III, 17, of Decatur Street, a student, died April 27, 1992, in Virginia Beach.

Linwood was born in Portsmouth and was a sophomore at Cradock High School. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include his parents, Linda L. and Linwood R. Johnson Jr., and two sisters, Tonia L. Morgan and Tammy L. Johnson, all of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Thelma Lewin of Ohio; and paternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, R. Linwood and Catherine Johnson of Chesapeake.

The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Allen J. Dooley. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel.
