VIRGINIA BEACH - Steven Ray Wiggs Sr., 44, of the 1000 block of Birch Lake Crescent, died Jan. 24, 2006.

A native of Portsmouth, he was most recently employed at the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Dept. for the last 10 years and 10 years prior was with the Portsmouth Sheriff's Dept. He was active in Portsmouth Little League.

Survivors include his fiancee, Dana Powers; father, Tex A. Wallace of Hertford, N.C.; daughter, Morgan Wiggs of Virginia Beach; three sons, Matthew Wiggs of Virginia Beach, Steven R. Wiggs of Chesapeake and Frankie Powers of Manns Harbor, N.C.; a sister, Teresa Simmons of Fredericksburg, Va.; a brother, Brian Wiggs of Williamsburg, Va.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Law Enforcement Training Center, 411 Integrity Way, Virginia Beach, by Lt. Steven Christianson. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
