PORTSMOUTH - Vicky M. Gough, 43, of the 2300 block of Effingham St., died Jan. 23, 2006, at Maryview Medical Center. Born in Portsmouth, she was formerly a customer service representative for Cox Cable. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Chesapeake, where she was a member of O.L. Cromwell Mass Choir, deaconess, Female Young Adult Usher Board, Hospitality Committee and member of Women AGLOW. She also served in many other capacities in the church. She was a 1980 graduate of Cradock High School.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph J. Gough; two daughters, Tara Gough and Jayla Gough; father, Robert Boykins; three sisters, Deborah Carter (Charles), Crystal Leonard (John) and Cherlonda Smith (Marvin); a special brother, the Rev. Nathaniel "Bro Bro" Jones; two nieces, Amber Carter and Jakyra Leonard; special great-aunt, Luvinia Bynum; spiritual parents, Elder Solomon and Bernice Wynn; and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Georgia Boykins; and a nephew, Charles Carter.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday by Dr. O.L. Cromwell II at Trinity Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing will begin Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The family will be at the residence to receive friends.
