William Monroe "Chief" Williams, Jr.
Class of 1976

William Monroe "Chief" Williams, Jr., 57, of Alden Avenue, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 in a Norfolk hospital. A native of Kingsport, TN, he was a graduate of Cradock High School, Class of 1976 and was a pipefitter by trade.
 

Survivors include two sons, William M. Williams III and James C. Williams; a sister, Peggy Sharp and her husband Tommy; a half-brother, Walter Williams; five grandchildren, William M. Williams IV, Evan Williams, Ruby Williams, James Cody Williams, Jr. and Anthonie Williams; and the mother of his sons, Debbie Day.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m
