Erdie Theresa Crutchfield

Portsmouth - On Monday March 4, 2013 at Bon Secour Maryview Medical Center, God sent his angels down to call our beloved sister, friend and neighbor home to her final resting place.
A native of Portsmouth, VA, Erdie (Theresa) was born August 31,1958 and reared in a loving Christian home by her parents, the late John and Blanche Crutchfield. She was a graduate of Cradock High School in Portsmouth, Va and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond,VA.
Erdie (Theresa) is survived by nine sisters and brothers, Marian W. Horton (Clyde), Gaithersburg,MD, Glenn R. Crutchfield (Dorothy) Upper Marlboro, MD, Monte L. Crutchfield (Peggy) Chesapeake, VA, Deborah A Blount Richmond, VA , Joyce M. Hill (Laymond) Rex,GA, Johnny U. Crutchfield, CA, Wanda F. Ward (Stanley) Richmond, VA, Sandra K. McGill (Ricky), Haywood, CA, and Donna C. Harris Portsmouth,VA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Marcia L. White, Rosalyn K Scott (Lewis), Travis Crutchfield, Kevin L. Blount (Laura), Tina Crutchfield, Tamika Crutchfield, Chaka Johnson (Reginald), Benjamin J. Horton, Amber Crutchfield, and LaDonia Harris. She leaves behind countless friends loved ones, and most of all, she leaves behind her lifetime companion Dean Jones.
Viewing will begin Monday from 1 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon at the Fisher Funeral Home, Chapel, 1520 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA.
