Portsmouth - John A. Anton, 60, of Portsmouth, Va. passed away July 2, 2012 in Massanutten, Va.
Mr. Anton was born January 12, 1952. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Anton loved his country. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed nothing more than spending the day at Top Golf in Alexandria, Va. with his family. The day he lost his battle with lung cancer, Mr. Anton was enjoying his family at their unit in Massanutten Resort.

He is survived by his daughters, Colleen Salvador and Kerri Anton; his grandson, Kyle Salvador; his brothers, Thomas Anton and Michael Anton; and his sisters, Sharon Talmadge, Deborah Sugg, and Christina Marrs.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Foster Funeral Home in Portsmouth, Virginia.
