Mr. Thomas was born in Portsmouth, VA. on September 23, 1949. He graduated from Craddock High School in Portsmouth in 1969. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served tours in Viet Nam, Thailand, the United Kingdom, New Hampshire, New York, Texas, Florida and North Carolina. Mr. Thomas retired from the Air Force in 1991, after 22 years of distinguished service. He has since lived in Tallahassee, where he began his second career with IKON Office Solutions. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elena, a son, Jeff, a daughter, Kelley, and son-in-law and friend, Meredith. Grandsons, Tommy and Alexander, his sisters, Kathy Richardson and Marie Monds, brothers Stephen and John Thomas, and several nieces and nephews and many other loving friends.
