YORKTOWN - John David Muesing , late of York County, died Jan. 20, 2009.

He is survived by his sister and three nieces. Born and reared in Portsmouth, David was a graduate of Cradock High School, served in the U.S. Navy, completing several schools in electronics training, and received his associate degree in mechanical engineering from Tidewater Community College. He was employed for 17 years with General Electric Co.

His interests spanned many and diverse disciplines ranging from gardening to high powered model rocketry to the many charitable organizations he supported.

In accordance with his wishes, a memorial service was held in April 2009 and was hosted by fellow model rocketry enthusiasts.
