PORTSMOUTH - Benjamin Stephen Ellis, 60, of Kirby St., passed away Aug. 4, 2008, in his residence. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 10766.

He was the beloved husband of Linda Hagelin Ellis; loving father of John Pete Ellis II; brother of John Pete Ellis Jr. and his wife Connie and Edward C. Ellis and his wife Lorna; and son of the late John Pete Ellis and Helen Stefkovich Ellis. He is also survived by a host of other loving family.

Family will be present at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Portsmouth, by Father Michael Boehling.
