PORTSMOUTH - Avis Bruce
Anderson, 62, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011. He was a U.S.
Air Force veteran. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Powell; a
daughter, Alana Anderson; two sons, Adam Anderson and Alan Anderson
and wife Cynthia; a sister, Joan Hill; and two granddaughters,
Cassidy and Alexis. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday,
April 26, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The
family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth
Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.
