Ronnie Doyle Sandefur, 70, born August 11, 1946, went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, February 5, 2017.

Ronnie was predeceased by a daughter, Sherri Lynne Sandefur, as well as his father, James Lindley Sandefur, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Mattie Belle Hamm Sandefur; his life-long best friend and wife, Janice Faye Sandefur; a precious daughter, Tammi R. Yates and husband Bryan; and a wonderful son, Kevin P. Sandefur; four grandchildren, Alysa Yates and Chase Yates, Ethan Sandefur and Darren Sandefur as well as his lap dog, Marley. Ronnie would want his family and friends to know he is finally at peace.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2017, at Grace Bible Church, 4210 Dock Landing Rd. Chesapeake, VA by Pastor Sam Floge. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at B. W. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
