PORTSMOUTH - Archer Gene Jordan, 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Gene was preceded in death by his mother Mary Louise Jordan; his father Archer Paul Jordan; and his sister Mildred Netterville. He is survived by his wife Linda M Jordan; his daughter Christina Jordan Webb and husband Michael of Fredericksburg, VA, his son Michael Gene Jordan of Portsmouth, his sister Gaynelle "Joyce" Newton of Portsmouth, and two grandchildren, Daniel Webb and Katie Webb, both of Fredericksburg. Gene served proudly in the Army during the Vietnam War, and went on to retire from Dominion Virginia Power. A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, April 13, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Lynda Moore. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
