LITTLE RIVER - Judy Cheryl Townes, 60, of Little River, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born on October 1, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Wilma Brady Fulcher. Judy was a graduate of Cradock High School in Portsmouth, Va. She was a very active member of Faith Wesleyan Church, where she was in charge of the nursery. Judy was a member of LIFT and served as Treasurer. She was employed by Bobby Gale Chrysler Dodge Jeep as controller.

Judy is survived by her husband of 40 years, James ''Jim'' L. Townes of Little River; one son, James ''Jamie'' Earl Townes of Little River; one daughter, Cynthia ''Dawn'' Newborn (Tommy) of Winston, Ga.; one brother, Wayne Fulcher of Frisco, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Casey, Kaydi and Tyler Newborn.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 at Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Faith Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow at Southeastern Memorial Gardens. Pastor Scott Smith will officiate.
