John D. ``Johnny'' Taylor, born Dec. 7, 1943, of the 200 block of Charles Ave. went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2000.

Johnny was a graduate of Cradock High School. He was retired as a welder from Norfolk Naval Supply Center. He was Baptist.Johnny is survived by his mother, Juanita Taylor; a sister, Sandra Taylor; a niece, Robin Mason; a nephew, Tim Taylor; two great-nieces, a great-nephew and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
