Roy Allen Myers
Class of 1971

Portsmouth- Roy Allen Myers, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, February 9, 2017. A native of Portsmouth, he was born to the late Edward and Helen Myers. He was a Past Master of the Washington-Lafayette 176, member of the Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies and the Khedive Shrine Center. He retired after 32 years from the NNSY as a toolmaker and was a member of Aldersgate U.M.C.

Roy is survived by two daughters, Leland Labuguen and husband Godfrey and Leslie Sansom and husband Arvin; one sister, Joan Wiggins of GA; two brothers, Fred Myers of VA Beach and Herbie Myers of NC; and two grandchildren, Shane Allen Sansom and Hailey Sansom.

A funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, at Aldersgate Campus of New Creation U.M.C. with Masonic Rites. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 6 to 8 P.M.
