Rouvier “RV” Johnson, CHS-63 died on February 6th. His sister is Libby Johnson Yarbrough, CHS-64

Norfolk - Rouvier Volney Johnson, Jr. (R.V.) 71 entered into his Saviors arms on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Born in Norfolk, VA. On June 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Rouvier Volney Johnson and Helen Williams Johnson. He is also predeceased by his sister Phyllis Deaton. R.V. honorably served his Country in the United States Air Force and was also a retired salesman.

Surviving are his wife Shelley Lester Johnson, his sister Libby Yarbrough and husband Jerry. Also left to cherish his memory are his children, Teresa L. Smith, Kevin W. Johnson and wife Tammy, Elizabeth J. Carroll and husband Mike, and Jennifer M. Johnson. R.V. is also survived by 9 outstanding grandchildren, Crystal Tippett and husband T.J., Grant Johnson, Joshua Smith, Ashley Johnson, Megan Johnson, Jamie Carroll, Justin Johnson, Michael Carroll and Olivia Veale along with several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery 5310 Milner's Rd. Suffolk, VA on April 5,2016 at 11:00 a.m.

After internment, the family will gather at 5401 Lilac Crescent Ports, VA
