Chesapeake - Helen Sawyer Benson, 43, of the 4000 block of Georgia Road, died Oct. 16, 1987, in her home.

Mrs. Benson, a Portsmouth native, was a member of Churchland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Huie E. Benson Jr.; three daughters, Ella E. Benson, Elicia E. Benson and Evelyn E. Benson, all of Chesapeake; her mother, Helen S. Sawyer of Portsmouth; and a brother, Wallace C. Sawyer of Williamsburg.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Loving Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Paul W. Parker Jr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
