PORTSMOUTH - Joseph Edward Gilliam of Valrico, Fla., died Aug. 12, 2010 at the age of 66. The funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. in Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Fla. Joe was born April 1, 1944 in Portsmouth to Eddie and Mary Gilliam. Joe was a 1962 graduate of Cradock High School in Portsmouth and held degrees from Bob Jones University and Kansas State. Joe is survived by his wife, Nancy Gilliam; children, Angie Reid, Sean Gilliam and Karis Denhoff.
Grandchildren are as follows: Cole Gilliam, Olivia Denhoff, Sarah Gilliam, Nathaniel Reid, Seth Reid, Danielle Reid, Hayden Gilliam (deceased), Grace Denhoff, Cade Denhoff, and Hope Denhoff. Joe is also survived by his mother, Mary Gilliam and his brother, Tom Gilliam of Watkinsville, GA
