Ronald Lee Fortune
Class of 1962

Ronald Lee Fortune, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Moffitt Cancer Center. A native of Portsmouth, Virginia, Ron retired as Vice President with a division of Ford Motor Company in Tampa, Florida.

He cared deeply for each of his friends and family and it was said that anything for anybody was never too much for him. He will be remembered for his patriotism and love of all gadgets and garage toys. Ron will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Ron is survived by his wife, Kathleen Penrod Fortune of Lexington, Kentucky; sons, Ronald Lee Fortune, Jr. and Christopher Shane Fortune of Tampa, Florida; his sister, Nita Fortune Hopson of Richmond, Virginia; along with many relatives and friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
