John Paul Breeding, 56, passed from this life on Jan. 21, 2001.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela; his father and mother, Paul W. Breeding and Mary Charlotte Breeding of Chesapeake; two daughters, Kimberly and Amanda; a brother, Lorne Dean Breeding of Portsmouth. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Lee Breeding.< John was an honorably discharged Army veteran and served proudly on the Portsmouth Fire Department for 27 years before retiring in 1994. He had also been a member of the Portsmouth Professional Firefighters I.A.F.F. Local No. 539.A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by Dr. Albert A. Peverall Jr. The family will receive friends in the funeral home an hour before the service Wednesday. The interment will be private.
