David Michael Yasaitis, 66, of Coatesville, died on Saturday, Dec. 12,
2009, at Brandywine Hospital.
He was the husband of Kathy Quinn Yasaitis. He was born in Portsmouth,
Va., on Aug. 25, 1943, the son of the late Alphonsus and Jean Matheson
Yasaitis. David, a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, was employed for 35 years
as an engineer in HVAC sales for numerous companies.
A hard worker, always with an ongoing project, David was active in the
community and served on the Calnshire Estates Homeowner Association's
board. He loved animals, living in the country, loved his motorcycle and
talking about cars, was very family oriented; a loving parent, husband,
and loyal friend. He loved learning about history and traveled with his
wife to historical sites, most recently in Bavaria. He was always ready
to listen and is very dearly missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David Michael
Yasaitis Jr. of Portsmouth, Va., Kelly Yasaitis Fanizzo and husband,
Michael John Fanizzo Jr., of Alexandria, Va., and Patrick David Yasaitis
of Philadelphia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 3 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Maclean-Chamberlain Funeral Home Inc., Route
340, Wagontown, preceded by a memorial visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. In
David's memory, contributions may be sent to The Humane League of
Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
