Betty Lou Tyson Parrish, 51, of the 6200 block of Mill Creek Trail, died Nov. 8, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Parrish was born in Winton, N.C. She was a nuclear medical technician at Obici Hospital, Suffolk.Survivors include her husband, John W. Parrish III; a son, John W. Parrish IV of Portsmouth; grandmother, Gertie Green Willoughby of Aulander, N.C.; and daughter-in-law, Amy L. Allison of Portsmouth. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Melissa Parrish.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
