PORTSMOUTH - Kay Frances Neal, 63, a longtime resident of Portsmouth,
passed away unexpectedly March 6, 2006. She was a daughter of the late
Alvah Lee Neal and Mildred Sawyer Hobbs of Chesapeake and a stepdaughter
of the late Weston D. Hobbs.She worked at Tidewater Community College,
Portsmouth, for 33 years and part time at The Pines, Portsmouth.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynda L. Ward and Billy Ellsworth of
Portsmouth; a son, Robert J. Lowe Jr. and wife Keely of Wilmington,
N.C.; two sisters, Shirley Neal and Dee Remick and Jackie Gasparini and
husband Gene, all of Portsmouth; two granddaughters, Ayden Elizabeth
Lowe and Emma Neal Lowe; and two nephews, Nick Gasparini and Daniel
Gasparini.

It was Kay's wish to be cremated. A visitation will be held Thursday
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel,
in her memory. The family will be at 900 Melvin Drive, Portsmouth, at
other times.
