Murray Roberts Bridgeman, 59, of the 2600 block of Barclay Ave., died Jan. 10, 2003, in his residence.

A native of Portsmouth, he retired from the Ford Motor Company in the paint department after 32 years of service. He was a graduate of Cradock High School Class of 1961 and a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Michael M. Bridgeman and wife Rebecca; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Bridgeman, all of Portsmouth; a niece, Debra Winn; a nephew, Barry B. Bridgeman Jr.; and three grandchildren, Hunter Davis, John-Michael Bridgeman and Savanna Bridgeman.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. T.M. Frye. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
