John Borden "J.B." Moore
Class of 1960

 PORTSMOUTH - John Borden "J.B." Moore Jr., 69, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011. He was a native of Washington, N.C., and was the son of the late Jessie and John Moore Sr. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Moore; a son, Jeffrey Moore and wife Beth; a grandson, Elijah Moore; two stepsons, Lee Everett and Mike Everett and wife Linda; a sister, the Rev. Suzanne Burch; two brothers, Radford Moore and wife Deloris and Glynn Moore and wife Ro; a great-grandchild, Carly; six stepgrandchildren, Michelle, Jessica, Dana, Nicky, Taylor and Dale; and three nieces, Mandy, Stacy and Kim.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery by the Rev. Suzanne Burch. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
