Portsmouth - Bobby Robertson Hedgepeth, Sr., 71, of the 4600 block of Westmoreland Terrace passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. He was born on March 26, 1941 in North Carolina; and was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Frances Hedgepeth and a son, Bobby R. Hedgepeth, Jr. Bobby was a U.S. Navy veteran; and retired as a painter for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Linda Hedgepeth; two daughters, Mary Hedgepeth Wysong and her husband Rick and Cheri Hedgepeth Coloski and her husband Robert; a sister, Jane Drew; a brother, Buster Hedgepeth; a grandson, Brandon Wyatt Wysong; and a great-grandson, Logan Blake Wysong.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be private in Albert Horton Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
