Gloria Ann Camarillo, 59, of the 1000 block of St. Julian Drive, died Jan. 2, 2001, in a local hospital.
She was born in Roanoke, Va., and was a retired former employee of Safe Way. She was a member of Lee Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Presendo Camarillo; two daughters, Diana Simons and her husband Chris of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada, and Carmen Camarillo of Chesapeake; five sisters, Christine Stafford of Princeton, W.Va., Cecelia ''Jackie'' Haynes of Rutherfordton, N.C., Norma J. Gay of Virginia Beach, Barbara Crawford of Riverside, Calif., and Audrey Stubbs of Zuni, Va.; three grandchildren, Jonathan, David and Sarah Simons of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada; one aunt; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Charles M. Atkins Jr., Reginald C. and Ronald L. Atkins; a sister, Edna M. Shipmaker; and her parents, Charles M. and Mamie W. Atkins.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by Pastor Allen L. Dooley. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
