Floyd Washington Simpson Jr., 61, of Afton Parkway, died Nov. 4, 2001,
in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Portsmouth, he was a self-employed tile mechanic and a
member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. Mr. Simpson was a
U.S. Air Force veteran.Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Simpson; two
sons, Floyd W. Simpson III and Donald Simpson; five sisters, Emily Seed,
Virginia Stilwell, Alverta Greenwood, Roxana McElfresh and Margaret
Tullock; and two brothers, Joseph Simpson and Charles Simpson.
