Charles Perdue, 62, died in the hospital on Feb. 8, 2002. Formerly of Portsmouth, he graduated from Cradock High School in 1958, served in the U.S. Army, and retired from the antique business.

He is survived by his parents, Paul and Margaret Perdue; one brother, Paul Perdue Jr.; three sisters, Carol Hawkins, Kay Mixon, and Linda Kester; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at The Alliance Church, 5809 Portsmouth Blvd., Friday at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be private in the Hampton VA National Cemetery.
