Delores Anne Meads, 62, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., passed away peacefully Jan. 5, 2002 after a 4 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Mrs. Meads was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.She was the devoted and loving wife of J.B. Meads for 43 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Meads Crotts and husband Andy of Chesapeake; a son, Brad Meads of Kill Devil Hills; two loving sisters, Jackie Boggs of Chesapeake and Linda Patrick and husband Tommy of Suffolk; three granddaughters, Brooke Virnelson, Brittany Crotts and Tiffany Crotts, all of Chesapeake; a great-granddaughter, Alycea Marcum; two brothers-in-law, Kenny Meads and wife Merrill of Chesapeake and Reggie Meads and wife Carol of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Stephany Lynne Crotts.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pinecrest Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church Building Fund.

A reception will be held after the services at the Fellowship Hall of the church.
