Faye Ladd-Matthews

CHESAPEAKE - Faye Matthews, 70, passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.

She was a native of Durham, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Voddie Ladd.

She graduated from Cradock High School in 1958, retired from Maryview Hospital as a cardiac tech and was a member of New Creation United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Chuck Matthews; four sons, Sonny Meeks, Dennis Meeks, Chuck Matthews Jr. and wife Krissy and Jamie Matthews and wife Meagan; a sister, Linda Lewis and husband Sonny; a special granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Nurney; and a grandson, Levi Matthews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. David Drinkard. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com
