Owens Shaver "Sonny" Daggett

PORTSMOUTH - Owens ``Sonny'' Shaver Daggett, 62, of the 600 block of Brunswick Road, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, in his residence.He was a native of Norfolk and was currently employed as a carpenter for W.M. Jordan Co. Inc. for 30 years. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 613, and former Scout master of Troop 253.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara W. Daggett; a daughter, Doreen L. McIntosh of Portsmouth; a son, David A. Daggett and wife Sherrine of Havelock, N.C.; two sisters, Betty Kahler of Virginia Beach and Laura Daggett of Chesapeake; a brother, George C. Daggett of Chesapeake; three granddaughters, Dalaney and Carley Daggett and Kasey McIntosh; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.
