Jimmie Parker Richardson Class of 1957 | Portsmouth - Jimmie Parker "Gunny" Richardson, 75, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in his residence surrounded by his wife, daughter, son-in-law and his favorite Pastor Ken Rice. He was born in Saltville, VA to the late Helen and Ezra Richardson, Sr. He was a U.S. Marine and retired from the Skippy Peanut Butter Plant as a shift supervisor. He was a member of the Catholic Club of Portsmouth, an active rock fisherman and he attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He is predeceased by a brother, Ezra E. Richardson, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Richardson; his daughter, Debbie Couch and husband Billy; a sister, Sharon Hilliard and husband Ben; four brothers, Kenny Richardson and wife Laura, Paul Richardson, Ray Richardson and wife Noni and Dean Richardson and wife Debbie; two precious grandchildren, Kelsey Parker Couch and Christian Couch; and his favorite sister-in-law, Gayle "Lizzie" Miles. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, at Meadowbrook Memorial Mausoleum by the Rev. Ken Rice.
