Gracie Pipkin Davenport-Hooper Class of 1957 | The Virginian-Pilot, Wednesday, July 26, 2006 PORTSMOUTH - Gracie Pipkin Davenport Hooper, 67, of the 4100 block of Clifford St., passed away in her home July 23, 2006. A native of Elizabeth City, she was the widow of Wade Davenport and Tommy Hooper. She was a real estate clerk for the Portsmouth city treasurer for 16 years and was a member of West Park Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Dianna Davenport Crumpler; a son, Tim Davenport and his wife Sheril; two sisters, Shirley Trollinger and Frances Boon; a brother, John R. Pipkin; and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy and Justin. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Mr. Keith Lewis. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. |
