CHESAPEAKE - William Jefferson ''Jeff'' Wimberley Jr., 68, died May 12, 2001. He was a member of Sanctuary of Hope, a mechanic for Singer, London Fog and Tidewater Sew and Vacuum, a former member of the Moose, an artist at heart and a Coast Guard veteran of Korea.

Mr. Wimberley is survived by his wife, Betty J. Wimberley; his mother, Emma Wimberley; four children, Catherine, Michael, Jeffrey and Timmy; a stepdaughter, Pam; three stepsons, Robert, Michael and Dubby; a brother, Robby Wimberley; a sister, Barbara Mingus; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

A funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Allen and the Rev. Mark Hambrick, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. A memorial fund will be established at TowneBank, Churchland, for the family.
