Rosewood Village in Charlottesville VA, surrounded by family.
Margie was born February 2, 1931 to Fabian and Lavenia Hughes. After
graduating from Cradock High in Portsmouth Va she worked as a
secretary at the Naval Supply Center. It was there she was

much of her time and talent to St Nicholas Catholic Church where
singing in the choir brought her great joy. Margie returned to the
Supply Center, after a 15 year hiatus, to resume her "old" job until
her retirement in 1993.
Margie lived with dementia for the last 8 years. After her beloved
Clyde passed away in 2008, Margie moved to Charlottesville near
family.
Margie was also predeceased by her sister Dolores Forbes and her
brother James Hughes. She is survived by her brother and his wife
Joe and Pat Hughes; her daughters Susan Park and Cathy Giles, their
husbands Richard Park and Michael Giles, grandchildren Amelia and
Mariel Park, Alec, Christian and Baylie Giles.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in
Virginia Beach on Saturday November 16 at 10:30 a.m. with a
reception following.
