PORTSMOUTH - Shirley H. Warren, 73, of the 3400 block of Wheatfield Court, died Aug. 16, 2007, in her residence.
She was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and was a homemaker. Shirley was a member of Portsmouth Church of Christ. She attended Radford University and had taught for a number of years in Portsmouth city schools.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Cary R. Warren; three sons, Norman E. Hamilton and Frederick R. Hamilton, both of Titusville, Fla. and Douglas M. Hamilton of Chesapeake; a sister, Connie Ann Kumer of Virginia Beach; a brother, Herbert W. Harlow of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Nicholas, Chastity, Mellissa, Scott, Mitchell, Brittany, Brooke, Holly, Cory and Joey; and great-grandchildren, Collin, Mackenzie, Landon and Keegan. She was preceded in death by a son, William Thomas Warren.
A memorial service will be held
at 1 p.m. Monday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, with
Bill Bates officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in
Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered to the family
