Chesapeake- Syble Doughtie Beal, 58 of the 1000 block of Coffman Blvd, a retired supply department supervisor, died June 28, 1987 in the hospital.

Mrs. Beal, an Ahoskie, NC native retired from the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. She was a member of Lee Memorial Baptist Church. She had been inducted into the Women Bowlers Hall of Fame, State of Virginia and the Tidewater Woman Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1986.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Beal, daughter Rhonda Johnston of Norfolk; two sons Michael Beal and Lawrence K Beal.

The funeral will be held at Lee Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Ray O. Jones. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Loving Funeral Home Portsmouth is handling the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Lee Memorial Baptist Church.
