CHESAPEAKE - Coy M. Cox, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 19, 2017. Coy was the last charter member of Alexander Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran then retired as an electrician from Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Coy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Sue Cox; daughters, Kimberly Cox Simmons (Benjamin) and Tracy Cox Canadyan (James); grandchildren, Amber Simmons and Chad Simmons; sister, Ruby Cox Whitney; brothers, Joe Cox (Syble), Ray Cox (Faye), Donnie Cox (Mary); a host of nieces, nephews, devoted friends & family.

The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home Monday from 6-7pm. Burial will be private at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Tuesday at Alexander Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.LovingFuneralHome.com.
