Claude Banks
Claude Daniel "Bud" Banks
Class of 1952

 

Claude Daniel "Bud" Banks, 64, of 205 Convair Drive, died April 30,
1996, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Canton, N.C. he was the son of Jessie Parker Banks O'Conner of Knoxville, Tenn, and the late Ernest Luke "Chuck" O'Conner. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, a lifetime member of the Sertoma Club and a member of the Redman of America. He was the manager of Hidden Hills Bowling Alley.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, JoAnn S Banks of the home, five daughters, Connie Lynn Davidson of Omaha, Neb., Anna Elizabeth Banks of Spartanburg, Cheryl Sandabol of Greenville, N.C., and Carol Ann Allen and Debra Alderson of Topeka, Kan; four sons, Johnny Banks of Loganville, Ga, Daniel Lee Banks , U.S. navy, Diego Garcia, Timothy Ray Banks of Boston Spa, N.Y., and Kenny Watson of Danville, Va., one brother Floyd Carroll Banks of Indian River, Fla; one sister, Lynn Roberts of Tennessee; a number of grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a number of foster children.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of the Nazarene, conducted by Pastor Greg Pressley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the First Church of the Nazarene, 161 Ridgewood Drive, Spartanburg, S. C. 29303.
