Margaret Rasnick Dean of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie H. and Millie Stanley Rasnick of Nora, Va.; her brothers, Elmer S. Rasnick and George B. Rasnick; brothers-in-law, Elwood R. Hewlett and Anderson "Sarge" Martin; sisters-in-law, Margaret S. Rasnick and Betty S. Rasnick.
Surviving are her husband, Johnny A. Dean; three daughters, Vickey D. Hoover; and husband, Alan, Jamie J. Dean, Treva D. Kidd; and husband, Joey, all of Hopewell; two sons, Johnny E. Dean and wife, Barbara of Concord, N.C., and J. Christopher Dean of Hopewell; seven grandchildren, April Foxworth, Ryan, Josh and Caitlin Hoover, Amanda Kidd, all of Hopewell, and Laci and Marcus Dean of Concord, N.C.; two great-grandsons, Zachery Foxworth and Cullen Lamm-Hoover of Hopewell; 23 nieces and nephews; two sisters, Lucille Rasnick Hewlett of Portsmouth and Angeline "Ann" Rasnick Martin of Chester; four brothers, Glenn L. Rasnick and wife, Hannah, Hampton H. Rasnick and wife, Elsie of Chester, John L. Rasnick of Hopewell and James "Raz" Rasnick and wife, Donna of Torrence, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Alex Roberts, pastor of Unity Baptist Church, Prince George County, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
