Willetts G. ''Bill'' Stiles Jr., 68, died May 14, 2002. He was a native of Portsmouth, a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 30 years of service. He was the 1967 past master of Tidal Wave Masonic Lodge No. 263, and current secretary, district deputy grand master, member of Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies and Khedive Temple in Charlotte, N.C. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Christine Ricketts Stiles and Willetts G. Stiles Sr. and his son, Barry Dale Stiles. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Stiles; three daughters, Chris Stone and husband, Jim of Lincolnton, N.C., Lisa DePauw and husband, Terry of Conover, N.C. and Nancy Reid and husband, John of Portsmouth; a sister, Joyce Johnson and husband, Lonnie of Lady Lake, Fla.; four grandchildren, Heather Stephenson, Jimmy Stone, Beth Reid and Austin Reid; and mother-in-law, Lois Wilson of Portsmouth. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland chapel, by the Rev. William L. Vann. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. and suggest memorial contributions to Centenary United Methodist Church or the Masonic Home. |
