Portsmouth – Ray Franklin Boggs, 43, of 21 Shamrock Drive, the husband of Mrs. Jacqueline Linkous Boggs and a native of Logan, W. VA., died Thursday in a hospital.
He was a son of Mrs. Maude Fortune Boggs of Virginia Beach.
He worked for the Portsmouth Public Works Department as division superintendent. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was a past president of Bethany Christian School PTA.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Teresa R. Costner, Mrs. Robin L. Knight, and Miss Michelle Boggs, and a son, Timmey Boggs, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Mary Alice Wilson of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Billy L. Boggs of Portsmouth; and a grandchild.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Bethany Baptist Church by the Rev. H. a. Hunderup Jr. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Virginia Beach, with Sturtevant Funeral Home in charge.
