KEEVER, Horace "Bud" Alexander Jr., died August 15, 2012. He was born on September 19, 1931 in Greenwood, S.C., and was the son of the late Horace and Eva Keever. He graduated from Cradock High School in Portsmouth before joining the U.S. Navy in 1952. He served in the Korean War while on assignment on the USS Olmstead as a Physician's Assistant. He attended VPI in 1955 and received his B.A. degree in Business Management while there.

He married Barbra Baines on July 31, 1958 and they resided in Midlothian, Va., until his death. After graduating from college, Bud had a long and prosperous career with Dominion Resources (VEPCO) and held several positions during his tenure there. He retired as Senior V.P. of Human Resources in Richmond, Va. Bud was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Midlothian, Va., and enjoyed time spent with family, playing golf, fishing and hunting.

He was a tremendous supporter of the Virginia Tech Hokies and spent many Fall Saturday afternoons in Blacksburg cheering on his team. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Keever; two children, Shannon Rellins and husband, Don, of Broadway and Michael Keever of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Laura and Eva Rellins of Broadway, Michael Jr. and Taylor Keever of Charlotte, N.C. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Salisbury Presbyterian Church in Midlothian, Va. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.GrandleFuneralHome.com.
