Marilyn P. Orlando, 77, of Virginia Beach and a native of Cradock, Va., passed away Jan. 28, 2004. She is now reunited with her beloved dog, Gisel and cat, Tara. Mrs. Orlando was a member of Thalia United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association Unit 99.

She is survived by her loving husband, James V. Orlando Jr. of Virginia Beach; children, James V. Orlando III and wife Patsy of Jacksonville, Fla., Debra Lee Wilcher and husband Rixey of Virginia Beach, Richard A. Orlando and wife Elizabeth of Anchorage, Alaska and Jeri Ann Orlando of Virginia Beach; sisters, Miriam Sumrell and Carolyn Miltier and husband E. Lewis; granddaughters, Tabitha Orlando, Gina N. Bolin and Rosa M. Orlando; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local SPCA in Mrs. Orlandos name.
