Margaret “Peggy” Parker Pilout passed away on March 6, 2018. She was born in Norfolk County, Virginia on August 24, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Rena Bosman Parker and Willis Seeley Parker.

 

Following her graduation from Cradock High School, Peggy trained in the Cadet Corps, preparing to serve during WWII as a nurse. With the end of WWII she completed her training to become an R.N.

 

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Pilout and her sister Marjorie P. Virgili. Survivors include her daughter, Anne Lynn Abrams and her husband, Gary M. Abrams; 3 grandchildren, James M. Abrams and wife Liz, Rebekah J. Abrams, and M. Jeffers Abrams and wife Tracie; and 11 great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by her sister Jean P. Thomasson and her brother John B. Parker.

 

A memorial service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Centenary U. M. C., 3312 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23703 or to the charity of your choice.

 

The family wishes to thank Cherie Rice, Diane Boyd, and Stephani Rockwell for their most loving and compassionate care.
