James A. Bushnell, 85, passed away quietly on March 11, 2011 in Chandler Az. Born June 6, 1925 in St. Petersburg, Fl., James spent his early years there, until the family moved in 1941 to Norfolk-Portsmouth, VA, where his father worked in the shipyards during WWII. James graduated from high school in Cradock, VA, joined the US Army, and made a career of it, along with a career in the Arizona National Guard. He retired as chief warrant officer after serving in the Pacific and European Theaters, as well as many years in AZ. James remain a bachelor and devoted his private life to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, completing many assignments for the church. He was preceded in death by two younger brothers. James is survived by his brother, Jack of Chandler, AZ; his nephew, Lance; nieces, Carolyn, Leslie, and Joy (deceased); and their many children. At James; request, no services are planned. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phx. Where his parents are interred.
