PORTSMOUTH - Nina Everton Seager, 83, of Crawford Parkway, died Jan. 7, 2002, at her home.

She was born in Norfolk to the late Ruth Harris Everton and Edward Hilton Everton. She was the wife of Alfred G. ''Bud'' Seager for more than 50 years until his death in 1990. She graduated from Cradock High School and attended the College of William and Mary and Mary Washington College. Mrs. Seager retired from Morse Parker Motor Supply as corporate secretary and office manager. She was a member of the Portsmouth Retired Teachers Club, The Cradock Womans Club, and Victory Chapter No. 16 OES. She was a member of Cradock Presbyterian Church since 1930 and was a life member of the Cradock Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by three sons, Edward M. Seager and his wife Janice of Hillsborough, N.J., Allen G. Seager of Montross, Va., and Gerald L. Seager and his wife Kathy of Springfield, Va.; five grandchildren, Wesley, Sarah, Benjamin, Lauren and Joshua; two great-grandchildren, Travis and Savannah. She is also survived by three sisters, Edna E. Gatzmann of Bogalusa, La., Rose E. Pollard of Portsmouth and Jean E. Dixon of Mechanicsville, Va.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. John N. Ashenfelder. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
