Michele Lynn Maxon
Michele Lynn Maxon
Class of 1973

FRISCO - Michele Lynn Maxon left this earth June 14, 2007. Born in Portsmouth, she had lived in the Outer Banks for the past 10 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Mary Maxon and her beloved sister, Juli Shomaker. Michele was a 1973 graduate of Cradock High School where she was active in the chorus. She also sang with the Virginia Symphony.

Chele loved all things to do with the beach and photography. We are blessed to have those moments she captured on film to console us. Her kindness and love for all people and animals brought her much happiness.

Chele leaves to cherish her memory her “bestest” sister, Peggy Parker and her “brother in her heart” Bobby; her nieces, Meredith L. Parker and Lisa P. Lutz (Paul), and their adoring children Parker, Ben and Kate, her constant correspondent; her beloved nephew, Justin Shomaker; niece, Trese Nicholas (Lee) and their children, Jeff and Tyler; and half sister, Paula Wenz.

Chele also left behind her beloved Anna Banana, her rescued dog and the love of her life. Michele’s lifelong friends, Julia Petit and Deanna McDaniels were a constant in her life sharing much love, laughter and memories.

We will honor Michele’s life with love and laughter at 3313 Brookside Lane, Portsmouth, Sunday at 4 p.m. Chele’s ashes will be spread on Frisco Beach, North Carolina, July 8, at a private memorial as per her wishes.

Memorial donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. Any remembrances that you would like to share with the family may be sent to pegmax_boo@cox.net.
